Brand Secure System Code

Structure​

The structure of each code for an open or closed BrandSecureSystem code is always identical:

  • Always starts with a &
  • 7-character identifier
  • One-character checksum at the end From the structure alone, no distinction can be made between open and closed codes.

Example​

&BX4KM0Y7
& => Recognition that it is a BSS label
BX4KM0Y => Random content
7 => Checksum

The checksum is automatically compared with each scan to verify whether it is a valid BrandSecureSystem code and not, for example, a similar code not issued by BrandSecureSystem.
